🖤 The Abyss of Human Nature

E-Book 1 of 9

118 pages
Raw. Reflective. Unapologetically human.

Some books try to reassure you.

This one chooses honesty.

The Abyss of Human Nature is a philosophical journey through the deepest questions of existence, exploring what it means to be human in a universe that offers certainty far less often than we'd like. Humanity has spent thousands of years trying to negotiate with the unknown, as if the universe might eventually answer if we phrase the question politely enough. It never has, yet we keep asking.

Rather than promising easy conclusions, the book walks through the tension between hope and despair, belief and doubt, love and cruelty, purpose and uncertainty.

It begins with the simple but unsettling reality that none of us chose to exist.

We awaken in a world already filled with history, religions, wars, civilizations, ideas, and questions that have echoed for thousands of years. Long before we arrive, humanity has already been searching for meaning, building stories, creating gods, and trying to understand why anything exists at all.

From there, the journey explores the nature of consciousness itself.

To be conscious is both a gift and a burden.

It allows us to create art, discover beauty, love deeply, and imagine impossible futures.

Yet it also forces us to confront suffering, mortality, uncertainty, and the uncomfortable awareness that one day every one of us will disappear.

Throughout the book, ancient beliefs, modern philosophy, human psychology, morality, and everyday experience intersect.

Not to prove one worldview over another...

...but to understand why human beings continue searching in the first place.

One recurring idea remains constant:

Even if the universe stays silent, people continue to create meaning.

We build families.

We create stories.

We comfort strangers.

We make art.

We choose kindness despite knowing how fragile everything is.

That contradiction lies at the heart of human nature.

The abyss is real.

But so is the light.

Rather than encouraging readers to escape life's uncertainty, the book invites them to sit with it, to acknowledge mystery without rushing toward easy answers, and to recognise that perhaps our greatest strength isn't certainty...

...it's continuing anyway.

By the final chapters, the question shifts from a search for answers to a quieter question:

How should we live when we don't know?

Not every mystery is meant to be solved.

Some are simply meant to be carried with humility.

Some with courage.

And some with hope.

This layer exists purely for discussion.

Not hostility. 🤍
